7: The Live CD Project RELEASES!
On December 19, 2007, Clamchop released my debut CD, 7: The Live CD Project! Head for the living room for everything from sound samples to purchasing. And here's a handy shortcut in case all you need is the downloadable, printable order form.

A friend's African Journey
A friend of mine spent the last semester traveling, primarily in Africa. A large part of his time was spent at New Hope orphanage in Busia, Uganda, and he was moved by the ways this African organization is changing the lives of some of the children who have been orphaned by the AIDS epidemic there. Seeing his response to his experiences there and the work that they are doing at New Hope has been very moving for me. Perhaps it will move you, too. There's more in the lounge.

New songs!
I have written several new tunes—some of you may have heard some of them during the past year or so. I'm looking forward to more opportunities to perform them live, and I also hope they'll find their way to a CD one of these days. In the meantime, you can have a peek at the lyrics in the library.

Upcoming performances!
It's been great to spend more time on stage again, especially over the last month (details in the hall archives). The CD project monopolized much of my available creative time in 2007, so it's exciting to get back onstage again, especially to share some of the new songs I've written in the last year and a half. What does that mean for you? Keep an eye on the hall for news on upcoming performances! Also, if you're interested in booking a performance at your venue (or if you have venue suggestions) drop me a line (contact info at my front door).

Matt Curlee's upcoming album
Matt Curlee, who produced my own 7: The Live CD Project, is busy working on his next release, Time To Run, the first CD from his Third Strand label. You'll be able to hear some familiar voices on the CD when it's released, probably late this year. Matt has been down to visit a couple times—I've recorded background vocal tracks for a few songs, and so has my sister Rebecca, whose awesome background vocals on my own CD still have everyone talking. More on Matt's project as developments arise.
